I have, without a doubt, been blessed through these years, because I have been able to make a living by following my life’s passion.
My love for photography goes back as far as my teenage years. I was 17 when I received my first camera – a Minolta 35 mm. That led me to enrolling in a photography class in school. For one of my first assignments, I did a photo shoot of the neighborhood boy that I babysat for. I gave his mother one of the pictures that I had developed, and that was it. Right then and there, in that moment, when I realized the joy that I was able to create for someone, I knew I was hooked. A career had been born.
My first “real” job in the business was shooting for a local photographer. After that, I spent several years as a lab tech, developing negatives in a dark room. That experience taught me what makes a good picture, and what makes a work of art. Over the years, I transitioned from developing prints, to developing myself in the digital world. Today, I keep myself busy creating artistic portraiture of children, families and all types of group events. It has been both a joy and an honor, having the privilege of capturing so many moments of time for so many individuals over the years. May the memories live on through my work and my passion for photography.
